Museum Aircraft
Museum Aircraft
Earlier in the year I was privilaged to be given a permit to photograph the Lightning gate guard and the few aircraft outside our musem.
I am not showing any pictures inside the museum as that would be unfair to the museum itself. These can be seen on BDAC website. Also as there are buildings showing in the background I have not shown the Lightning.
Hunter XF375
Sycamore XJ380
Jet Provost XR650
Phantom XT597
Phantom XT597
Phantom XV401
Sea Harrier XZ457

Re: Museum Aircraft
Looks like an interesting little collection. Are both of those Phantoms leaning to the port side?

Re: Museum Aircraft
No. If the FGR.2 is leaning, it would be leaning to the left as it is an RAF example. The FG.1, being a RN example, could lean to port though.

Re: Museum Aircraft
Dan213. The Sea Harrier was the highest scoring one in the Faulklands War. It was written off ay Yeovilton following a crash & fire. It is now preserved and is a credit to the directors and volenteers at the museum ( not me though ) The rest will no doubt be worked on when we know what is happenning to the museum.
sg-andel and davidallman5. You are both correct in what you have heard and said. However negotiations are still going on so I cannot say anymore at this stage as it is not my place to do so. As soon as I have positive information I will put a post on the site.
