Cheers

Yes, this week or next. Lots of changes coming I’ve heard.
C-130, Gazelles and the Griffin all to go in the coming months.. Alpha earlier this year, will there be anything left soon.

Sad stuff really - does anybody know what happened to their Alpha Jets?

Believe they're all stored at Boscombe.

I’m told the very last Tucano flight is this week (believed Friday).

I’m sure the Basset was broken up years ago and is in bits on the airfield somewhere.

'Bertie' was given to the training school as a training aid and remains in one piece :). The Chieftain, however, had her wings cut off and was stored over the south western end of the airfield for some time.

Their other Basset (XS742) was scrapped at Boscombe in 1983.

Were they actually Bassets though? I always thought that their designation was the Beagle B206Z which were pre-production Bassets, the first "real" Basset was XS765.
