LOG + REQ Boscombe Down 18/7

Post by KoenL » Wed Jul 19, 2017 1:35 pm

Not much was happening here yet, yesterday at 10:00 but we noted Merlin 'R' (should be ZJ133) stored in one of the HAS. Special tail Hercules ZH866 was on the apron and the helicopter hangar contained two rotorless grey Merlins on the right and a further example of which I could not ID the colour. Any help with pair of grey Merlins would be appreciated.

Saw it from here https://www.google.nl/maps/place/51%C2% ... d-1.728508
It was only visible as the HAS was open for a truck to be loaded/unloaded.

1. No Merlin recorded as being coded 'R'
2. N/A
3. A109 was ZE416, can't help with the Gazelle on the pan but, blue Gazelle is XX453
4. Alpha Jet was ZJ647, I believe.

Merlin coded R is ZJ133, which is stored at Boscombe - as per Moen's post

Nice catch, that ZJ133. One of three HC.3s I still need, all of them being stored at Boscombe.... (ZJ117, ZJ133 and the remains of ZJ138).
Cheers,
