Hi all,
Had a bit of a fishing trip over to Boscombe last week on a cold and frosty afternoon. Low sun and poor visibility on arrival almost had me turn around immediately but actually saw plenty of action!
BAe 146 taxi'd out just after 2pm and departed on rwy23 - returned for practice approaches about 2hrs later and then departed again
Alphajet dep almost immediately after the 146 - also returned for practice approach/land and then turning hard in the circuit for short finals 4 times
Small-ish mostly blue twin-engined prop a/c that I didn't recognise but seemed to have RAF roundel - not King Air...Piper PA31 poss?
Small prop operating from the flying club doing circuits
Apache was doing circuits
two Lynx overflights
Augusta 109 arrived and departed late afternoon
Squirrel overflight
Gazelle arrived and departed
Chinook seen out over the A303 but didn't approach BD
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....

That's a decent haul there! The PA31 will have been ZF622, a resident at Boscombe.Millsey wrote:Hi all,
