XX162 Hawk G9 tail

Hello all,

Can't find much info, but any ideas on what the tail marking on the based Hawk XX162 is, I say G9 as it looks like its a number 9 within the letter G, so don't know if thats right or not.

Googling XX162 G9 Tail doesn't give me much apart from some pictures

Think it refers to 9g, as in pulling 9g- relevant to its centre for aviation medicine role.
