Visited Yeovilton today hoping to see my last RN Merlin.
I expected to to see more Merlin activity than I did with the Olympic security flights,
ZH828 CU/65 Noted on the ramp all morning
ZH827 /14     Took off at 09:15 and returned late morning. Put back in hangar around mid-day

Two others noted in the hangar head on. I think these may have been coded 66 & 67 but if anyone knows for sure please let me know. I went there looking for ZH840/67, it didn't look like either was in the tiger c/s (ZH860/68) or code 70 which is ZH857.
Are two aircraft down at Portland/Weymouth/on a ship?

In addition to my own question, does anyone know what time the Merlins head down to Weymouth in the morning, & what time they return in the evening?

From another mailing list I have been told the Tiger striped ZH860/68 hasn't been seen at Weymouth this week, so was presumably in the hangar leaving one other I'm trying to track down. So any reports or SBS logs for 02Aug of Merlin movements out of would be most welcome.

1 or 2 leave between 07:30 and 08:00 every morning

Tiger 1 and 2 returned just before 7 the Evening I went down this Week.
Any time between 18:30 and 21:00 has been mentioned.

Ps Havent seen the Tiger one at all on its stay although I didnt venture down 1st Week

At 11.30am yesterday (Friday 3/8/12) we noted 4 Merlins at Yeovilton, three outside: ZH840, 14 (ZH827) and one in "Tiger" markings, so assumed to be ZH860/68.

Not what I would call Tiger marks, more like grey blotches.

The other one in the hangar was coded 70 (ZH857).
