Not whilst I was there - which is typically only for 5 minutes at about 08:45 most mornings for a looksee. The wash rack was up, and they did open the Wildcat end of the hangar whilst I was there, but I didn't hang about to see what if anything came out. Not that it helps, but (ZJ125)/J was out on Monday in the 'new' grey camo.

Does that mean it's grey not green or is there actually a camo

' Camouflage: a method of disguising or concealing objects by colouring them or covering them so that they look like part of their surroundings'.
I know what you were thinking but don't get get your hopes up. Grey works for a grey sea, sky, or even, deck!

As Freeman says, ZJ128 is just a plain light grey all over.

Noted today at c16:0” were:
ZZ549 Wildcat
Unid Merlin engine running eastern end. Have a feeling this was probably ZZ106 but was tail on to us. If anyone can confirm that would be great.

Best regards
Simon

Apologises for asking but managed a very brief visit yesterday (2019.03.07) just before midday, didn't find a good view but managed to see a Merlin (white SAR markings, orange fluorescent tail with small yellow crest in centre) and from the Westland entertainment facility a Wildcat which seemed to be in normal two-tone grey scheme (seemed / sounded to be engine running).
Any help would be very much appreciated (is there a better view of the pan possibly)?

Regards,

Steve

Morning Simon & Steve - I was present around 2pm on Thursday 7 March. The SAR as described above was seen. Norwegian serial was covered. As I left a number of people embarked and on ADSB a short while later 43C7E1 appeared, which has been identified as ZZ106. Trust that sorts it. No doubt others on this forum can confirm. No luck on the wildcat. Cheers John
