Seems very quiet at Yeovil last couple of days. Are they on a Easter shutdown?

Not seen anything outside so far this week, but there was a Houchin on the ramp this morning which normally indicates some Wildcat activity will happen.

Noted departing to the southwest at 1530 mode-s code 000001, WHE06. This could be first flight of HH-101A, 15-08 ??
Can anyone confirm.

The next HH-101A is ZR359 and is coded 15-10, or so I am reliably informed. Apparently it first flew on 25th April.

000001 WHE06 flew over me, I was unsighted but able to hear it was a Merlin. It was confirmed as an Italian by 2 friends that saw it flying

RN Merlin (ZJ124)/H was on the ramp this morning at 09:00 together with an Army Wildcat which may have been ZZ391? but not sure. Had a quick look again at 1PM, but haven't seen an Italian today.

ZJ124 and ZZ388 were on the ramp when I arrived at 11.00.
The Wildcat departed ten mins later.

Out on an sunny but chilly ramp this morning were :
(G-CLIX/G-CIJX?) AW149? Spanish "Salvamento Marítimo" markings
ZZ377 Wildcat HMA2 "Royal Navy" mkgs
(ZH8??) Merlin HC2, grey c/s, no codes visible, and no AEW bag.

I read the Spanish off as G-CLIX, but I'm a bit dyslexic with spam, so could have been CIJX which has been reported recently. Not sure if the Spanish coast guard are pseudo-mil enough for me really.

Cheers
Malcolm
