Yeah was Very high and loud on the app unlike the herc's but I guess that was due to Noise abatement rules or something like that I was on Lunch break at the time.

Was it a Visit or for ops on the SPTA.

Larkhill is active above normal level this week so possibly fast jets could be using it alot more...if thats the case then expect some more rumbles today... :thumb:

Ryan

You could check my post in the Current military section "Apache in plain sight" and scroll to the last photo. This may be your plane?

Looking at the Live Logs, one of them should be ZA704 - Chinook.

Not looking too good for them, do you know where they're from?

I'm assuming they are Ramstein Hercs.
They used to come over several times a year and deploy to Lyneham using "Herky 80" callsigns... to conduct low level operations. In Germany the low level limit is 1,000ft so not ideal for them.
Nice to see them coming over to do paradrops though, but then of course, only assuming it is the Ramstein folks!

Speaking of the devils, HERKY 81 is airborne in Germany now perhaps on some tactical flying.
Used to love watching them overhead at 250-500ft in Devon, three-ship formation like the RAF used to do.

VIKING 95 looks to be heading his way towards Lyneham now, down to 4800ft, serial is 91-9141 I think.

Following him is COBB 05, C-130H, 84-0205, which according to A.net has some rather nice noseart!
