The SecAF has ordered a "Review of Official and Unofficial Unit Emblems, Morale Patches, Mottos, Nicknames, and Other Symbols" within the next 60-days by all USAF commanders to ensure their unit's recognition and identity ensures an inclusive and professional environment.
The order memo image is too large to post here, but you can read all about it here.

Some comments from serving USAF folks include:
"93d and 28th Bomb Squadrons can just kiss their patches goodbye."
"Don't forget the 34th. Cultural appropriation using the Native American Thunderbird like that."
If you're thinking about whether to complete some of your patch collections then it might be worth a read.

335th FS will likely be affected too. I guess it was a matter of time before the military started a review. Lots of it going on throughout the US. Redskins have dropped their name in the NFL and Cleveland Indians will change their name after the 2021 MLB season. Even though their has been opposition in the native American communities

The PC police are at it again. Liberals have no bounds. And Im sure the base changes will happen as well as Trump won't be in office. The Memphis Bell 155 AS as it's a scantly clad woman. The 77FS gamblers as it's promote gambling. The 335 Chiefs as the 9 ARS and the 171 ARS as it has indians. This will get out of hand and quickly.

Out of hand - or in alignment with the values of today's societies? I'm not suggesting you're right or wrong, just offering an interpretation.
After patches/emblems etc. you can expect some base names to change in the next few years.
The NDAA that's just been passed includes funding for a:
"Commission on the naming of items of the Department of Defense that commemorate the Confederate States of America or any person who served voluntarily with the Confederate States of America."
"Not later than three years after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall implement the plan submitted by the commission described in paragraph (b) and remove all names, symbols, displays, monuments, and paraphernalia that honor or commemorate the Confederate States of America (commonly referred to as the "Confederacy'') or any person who served voluntarily with the Confederate States of America from all assets of the Department of Defense."

What makes today's society right? There just bowing down to the squeaky wheel is all. And erasing our countries past. Weather you like our history or not. Do you want your history erased as well? If our country is that bad whey is everyone trying to get here, and yours for that matter. It can't be for all the free stuff.page_verify wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 8:28 pmOut of hand - or in alignment with the values of today's societies?
