It get worse. Check out the completed listing http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=E ... 5573.m1684

The 2 Sqn, SU30 patch went for a whopping £107 :O http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Indian-Air-Fo ... 33a6ef004c

Also someone had it listed buy it now for £90 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Indian-Air-Fo ... 5b169ac502

Also a winged arrow patch buy it now for £50 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Indian-Air-Fo ... 5b169ad3ee

Pure profiting, but it's obvious people are willing to pay it so welcome to the future of the hobby :grr: People said crews were selling in the spotters carpark at Coningsby. How much were the crews selling them for?

I think the patches were actually only £4 but I had that much in my hand and the IAF Officer was adding up the prices fairly quickly that I may have misheard/forgotten. Either way it was in that region, give or take...

Those prices do sort of affirm my method of patch/coin collecting, in that I'll only buy anything direct from units and only at shows/events. Helps keep the collection smaller and the money in my pocket ;)

Absolute rip off merchants, pure and simple. I was at Coningsby (I know not everyone could make it over) and bought my patches off the crews for £4 for the Winged Flanker patch and £6 for the others as well as shirts for £7 and small badges/patches for £1. They were very cheap and to see this blatant profit making going on is awful!

It is definitely better to buy from the units or other trusted collectors and some businesses. I don't fault the eBay sellers when they put them in at low opening bids such as .99p or up to £5. It's the gits who put them on at £60 buy it now or as a starting bid. And there are a few good companies/ebay sellers out there. The Indian patches that recently finished at those high prices are purely driven by collectors who sometimes think they have to win in a bidding war or they must have that patch. The bottom line is not everyone could get up to coningsby and there is another batch already being made of the combined aircraft Indian patch. However some people can't wait. I must admit I too have done this although very rarely as most patches will always come up again if you can be patient. The real danger is the units hearing about how much some of these patches go for. Lakenheath is the best example. Anybody at RIAT this year knows what I'm talking about. Trading is still the better and cheaper way in this "hobby". And it's the purest form of this hobby. It used to be getting them for free from the crews or the squadrons. However this is very rare now due to the demand and the unusually high sums people are paying for patches. I still enjoy the hobby but it is becoming more expensive!

Mauro Roder an Italian patch creator is the designer. But he doesn't sell the patches he only designs them. He mentioned in a FB group that the Indians didn't order enough for even all their aircrew. So there is another batch being made. I'm not sure where they will be available but I will let you know if I hear anything.

It's from them 2012-2013 season, so i'm guess your only chance would be trading or Ebay although can't say I've seen it appear on EBay. Not that it helps I got mine from the team at Waddington 2013

Might be worth asking on their Facebook group? Not sure how well monitored it is with the team on hiatus https://www.facebook.com/F-16-DEMO-TEAM ... 8/?fref=ts

Does anyone know where to get Tim Peake Principia patch from? I believe Stewart Emblems has been mentioned? Didn't know they were still going

Hi Gary,

Checked the CollectSpace website. Apparently it is Stewart Emblems, email address = info(at)stewart-emblems(dot)com or sales(at)stewart-emblems(dot)com. Posters on CS state that there were patches left as of 26/11/2015, their contact was Fiona. Cost was £5.99 each, plus postage.

Hope that helps.

All the best,
Michael.

Liking the Ex TRILAT patch from XI Sqn, I though they dropped the (F) designation? Looks like a possible Terrane patch
