J.C. I've seen some KCs sickening landings on cross-winds- surprised they retained their turbo-fans! On each occasion they spooled up to try again and made copybook landings. Wonder what this one looked like from the Mound?

I posted this the day after I saw it on Youtube:viewtopic.php?f=350&t=209888
which is the same as posted above, but I seem to recall that the same aircraft was back flying the next morning. Surely if the engine hit the ground that hard there would have to be a full inspection of its pylon and the wing.

It flew as Jake 31 on the day of the incident (7th September)- see below

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=209752

I am pretty sure it didn't fly on the Wednesday (and cannot see it in the heads up section) and can remember thinking 'good' as I hoped it would fly on the Thursday / Friday (9th / 10th) when I was up at Mildenhall from 9th to 12th - it didn't fly at all over that period.

Next time it went up was the 14th as Will24 was waiting for it to return but it diverted to Spangdahlem to return to Mildenhall the following morning

Hope that helps

Darren
