F-16s Launching at Volkel Air Base

Volkel Air Base is next to Leeuwarden Air Base one of the Dutch F-16 airfields. Leeuwarden is currently in the transition to the F-35A Lightning II and Volkel will also exchange the F-16 Fighting Falcon for this new type in the coming years. Until then, the F-16s will still be responsible for the daily defense of Dutch airspace. The Fighting Falcon is still going strong !!!
