Are you using the mobile app for YT?

If you are & using iOS platform (not sure about Android) I can recommend an app called Jasmine. It basically runs the videos on youtube through that app without the adverts.

I'm on a Windows 8 laptop, no adverts and an excellent video with no buffering.

Are you sure that you're watching the same video, baz?

I have tried them all Mike I get the start of the vid.. and up comes error occured please try again later!! never had this prob before

I occasionally get that with you-tube. Just keep trying and you get there eventually mate.
I thought it was because of my slow 'net speed here
