This Sunday the Bentwaters Cold War Museum are having their main Open Day which should include a fly-by from an RAF Sea KIng and a U.S Army marked Ryan Navion on static (if its home airfield is still not waterlogged !!)
Also on offer are guided coach tours around the former Cold War airfield which is usually out of bounds to the public to see the bomb dump area, hardened aircraft shelters, hush house,'star wars' building etc
Personnel from the 67th Special Operations Squadron 'Night Owls' will also be there as the museum is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Squadron which spent 22 years at nearby RAF Woodbridge (1970-1992),other things on show are ex-military vehicles,Land Rover club, owls and other creatures ,archery from the Framlingham bowman, fire engines, other stalls and not to be overlooked the Woodbridge ATC and their bbq
Looking forward to it
