Northolt Nightshoot XII - Time for Tiffies!!

Ladies and Gents,

The next nightshoot is to be held on WEDNESDAY 9 May 2012 (note the change of day). We realise that this is very short notice, but having had an agreement in principle for some time, official permission was only given today.

Planned attendees are air assets taking part in the Olympics exercise over the forthcoming days, plus BBMF.

This promises to be a cracker, so please get register your interest as soon as possible with the Phil, the organiser, at phillip.dawe@btinternet.com.

Timings etc are tbc.

Well the official email hasn't been sent out, but I believe it should be Typhoons, lynx, gazelle, junglie seaking and BBMF (subject to taskings) and as per the first post, held at RAF Northolt

Just be aware, there is no flash photography and you will need a high-viz vest or jacket of some sort as you will be an area that still has active motor vehicle movements. Enjoy

Ha ha! Posted the newbie info and got so excited that I forgot to link from here.. thanks!!

APPROXIMATE timings for Wednesday night are booking in from 1830 with access to the flightline from approx 1930-2200. Phil will email the firmed-up timings with his global email next week.

If you cannot make the entry time, don't worry, I will remain on the gate for approx 90 mins or so to catch any stragglers. If you are even later than that, let us know and we'll still get you in.

After booking in at the gate, parking is in the 32sqn car park behind their hangars.

Ok,

Phil's booking the last of the late, late bookers tonight before sending out the global email.

As you might expect this is going to be our biggest event - over 200 have booked!

When you are on base tomorrow night, PLEASE be patient, tolerant and aware of what others are doing around you on the flightline. We have asked for as many Typhoons as can be spared to space you lot out and avoid overcrowding one or two areas.

There will also be more steps available for the same reason.

Finally, the weather, for once, is looking pretty wet during the event, so please be prepared - even if you don't need your waterproofs, it's better to have them than not!

Double finally, please DO NOT arrive before the stated checking-in time in Phil's email. The on-base security staff will not book you in early, and traffic will soon back up onto the West End Rd.

All in all, please be patient - even before you get through the gate.
