Well there's still a slim chance of the Tiffie displaying if the Libya debacle gets resolved before August. Yeah, ok no Typhoon this year then.

Seriously though, it's looking quite bad for fast jet participation. The only saving grace could be if they manage to get a pilot for the Sea Vixen and get Foxy displaying again like in 2008.

EDIT: looks like a Tutor will be there: http://www.tutordisplay.org.uk/Prog.htm

and the Tucano: http://www.raf.mod.uk/tucanodisplayteam ... lendar.cfm

and the Hawk http://www.raf.mod.uk/hawkdisplayteam/d ... /index.cfm
Yeah, they've got what's left of the RAF but tbh the Tutor and Tucano really don't inspire and are just too quiet and small for such a large busy beach crowdline.

Really hope they can get the Belgian F-16 cos we need at least one jet with reheat to make some noise.

Well I'm glad you're pleased, but for me they just get lost in the background and make little impact.

Well a GR4 demo would only really be interesting with some pyro, and you can't do that on B/mth beach without accidentally blowing some beach huts up.
Hmmm......:P

How could you set of pyros out in the sea.
If you have ever been to the show , you will know that the sea is full of boats on the airshow days.

Well the Sea Vixen flew again today for the first time since 2009, so fingers crossed we might see it gracing the seafront again this year.

They'd be mad not to book the local talent. :Wow:

I have to say i dont trust that airshows website they only put on their site what they want to promote and some of their info is false.Just my opinion of course.

Information on Flightline UK comes direct from the Flying Display Directors (TSA Consulting) for whom we provide some website services! There's plenty more to be added as and when it is confirmed. Sorry, I can't help Bournemouth Council speed up the updates on their website.

The Tornado GR4 demo is expected to do around 20 displays over the year, but the RAF only have the budget to provide pyrotechnic support to around 10.

If "vinnyboy's" comments are directed at Flightline UK, then the simple answer is that we only preview events we intend to cover for review or those that organisers provide information for.

One thing to consider this year is that Council budgets are much tighter than usual, and fuel and operations costs have increased dramatically. Some display teams were unable to give fixed prices earlier in the the year due to the volatility of fuel prices. Bournemouth has been slightly unlucky this year in that the F-16 was forced to withdraw and th Pioneer Team are unavailable over the show week this year. However, I can say fairly confidently I think Bournemouth will be a particularly good airshow, especially the Night Air Flying Displays on Thursday and Friday evening!

Will the Merlin be taking part in the Beach Assaults this year as the Seaking did last year.

Sea Vixen and Gnat are both supposedly booked according to their operator DS Aviation.

Can't see even B/mth council being daft enough not to have the home talent displaying especially when you consider they'll only have to pay for the display itself and not include transit fuel costs etc. But you never know.....

Hope the Tornado's don't cancel though as they seem to be the only afterburning jets appearing this year and I enjoyed their noisy display at Yeovilton.
