Hard to know where to put this , but a mate of mine has asked if I know anything about the rock concerts that were there in the 70's.
It transpires that quite a few were accompanied by mini airdisplays, particularly in 1975 when Pink Floyd had a B-17 'bombing' the crowd with ping pong balls and a Spitfire and Hurricane doing a routine in time to the music.
Also Todd Rungren in 1976 had a mock WW1 dog fight over head (Again in time with the music.)
The question has arisen, who owned these aircraft ?, was it the 'Lord of the land' if not how were they 'got hold of and choroegraphed ?or did they come from Duxford ??etc, any help would be much appreciated as it will help a few of us 'older generation' sleep better at night !!
Thanks
Ian
