Re: sunderland
Its strange that most `Airshow sites` have the dates down as 30/31 July but the Sunderland website has nothing.

Re: sunderland
Show is still on, there was some news last year floating about that they might start charging people but that has gone away for now.
Re: sunderland
There was also news floating around that the Government cuts would lead to it being cancelled but hopefully they have also gone away.jon93 wrote:Show is still on, there was some news last year floating about that they might start charging people but that has gone away for now.
Re: Sunderland
The show might be going ahead but participation is not looking good at all infact its diabolical raf display teams which have announced dates, tucano no display, hawk no display, red arrows no display and they are all free over the weekend dont know what you think but a think no red arrows is going to see attendance plumet. The organisers may be waiting till last minute but that could just me be hoping for the best.

Re: Sunderland
Be sad to see Sunderland go under but it was pretty poor last year - Miss Demeanour aside.
The F86 Sabre is showing as entered. http://www.goldenappleoperations.org/calendar2011.aspx

Re: Sunderland
The show is not set in stone yet. It's still tipping back and forth so don't get excited just yet
Re: Sunderland
One can hope. It won't do much but you may as well hope.

Re: Sunderland
The show might be in doubt but more participation coming in this time royal navy historic flight types to be confirmed.

Re: Sunderland
No fast jets now as sunderland has been taken off the dutch F-16 display dates. This is the first sunderland I can remember where there will be no fast jet.

Re: Sunderland
jon. as discussed earlier, this years show is looking very doubtful unless something unexpected happens.
Re: Sunderland
Heard that the Viper team have been booked for both days but basing themselves at Leeming.
Re: Sunderland
It may be not set in stone yet but there has been an update Miss Demanour ( I think the spelling is correct), Vampire, Matardors, Catalina and apparently a certain XH558 will be appearing, all on both days,
