It is Families Day at RAF Shawbury today. Please note this is a closed event strictly for RAF Shawbury Personnel and their families only. Identity will be checked at the entrance.

Unfortunately, there are no public viewing areas.

Was there a Texan/Strikemaster pair and Cessna/Hunter pairing over there today? Seen these over Caernarfon today which looked very unusual and can only assume they were doing flypast down there?

Think you will find that the Cessna(a Grand Caravan) was acting as a photo ship, taking a/a shots
It was overhead me on Anglesey , late yesterday afternoon for about 45 minutes , Firstly with Blackjack , RAF display Typhoon and then with 2 F-16s which may have been from Belgium. All were participating in the Valley Families Day, which was also held today. L-39 and a Strike master also turned up this morning .

Strikemaster / Texan II Flypast was father / son pilots apparently.
