I saw in Aviation News that the Cold War Jets has an open day on 29th April 23. It states to 'see Facebook.' I am not on Facebook and when I asked a friend to look, he said he had to join the group to see the information which he wasn't really interested in doing! Has anybody joined the group and could inform me any details of timings, cost etc? I am interested in going to this event subject to time off work and any info would be very much appreciated.

Compared to the 'old' CWJ days, it looks like a lot more money for a lot less event... :(

'Static power demonstrations' sounds like the Buccaneer at EM Aeropark opening its bomb bay doors. Top prize goes to Meteor engine power. Sounds like turning on an APU. Nowhere does it say 'engine run'.

The event poster, should you actually take time to look at it, states very clearly.........anti-det and static ENGINE runs from the Canberra, Venom, Meteor, Hunter and Lightning

That link, should you actually take time to look at it, contains no poster whatsoever. Is it nailed to a fencepost somewhere?

Its £3 less than what some paid to see a few aircraft in the dark at Valley :-)

Will they be doing slow and fast taxi runs?

No, the runway is a car park now!! Look on Google maps for an aerial view.

That's even more desperate than the throngs that showed up at Waddo to watch 607 being towed back to the hangars for a lick of paint (at least that was free), how sad
