Really hope this works out for FL
Hoping we might see a few surprises in the new location assuming the world can get back to normal
I have flights and accommodation booked in anticipation of it going ahead.
Fingers crossed.

The price seems a bit steep - £50..

It's been a while since I've been to legends at Duxford but I'm sure the cost started with a 3?

booked my ticket.
gates open at 9am and close at 10pm, don't see another show opening for that long, blades doing a evening show plus twilight lit flight line.
I know this won't appeal to everyone but come one, we wait for a show to open then knock it when it does, I'm happy it's going ahead.
I have also been to Duxford couple of weeks ago for £13 for a lazy Sunday afternoon of flying which has also had it's critics. (I had a great day)
As I didn't spend any money last year on shows I am more than happy to support a show that is trying this year.

Price seems fair considering there are no hidden extra's like the DX rip off car parking. Although beware the website as you still need to book a car parking space (£0) but seemingly that is sent in the post as not as eTicket ??

If it's on I'll be there £50 or not. Was £37.30 iirc at Dux so not that much more.
It's looks vfm if you're prepared to stay the day. Hopefully some rare stuff will appear to make if a fantastic day
Only criticism is no FoTFC area

I went and bought both days in the Sky Lounge. £260 is a bit steep but it's been nearly 2 years since my last show. So why the heck not lol.

Dont like being a party pooper but to test fly and certificate an aircraft type that has not flown for fifty years with an engine type best described as complex, within six weeks is unlikely.
Sincerely hope that the Tempest will statically displayed.

Flying Legends cancelled
Dear Friends of Flying Legends,

In the light of yesterday’s message from our Prime Minister, and the uncertainty surrounding the UK opening fully for business, it is with deep regret and a heavy heart that we must cancel this year’s event. We understand the government’s careful position but cannot safely stay the course in the light of the potential loss and lack of clarity so close to show time.
We sincerely apologise for the disappointing news but the circumstances are truly out of our control. We will be reimbursing all of you, our faithful friends of Flying Legends who pre-paid for tickets in the coming days.

On a personal note and in the name of the whole team at The Fighter Collection who have worked so hard this past year to prepare the aircraft and the show itself, please know that this decision has not come lightly. We are very sad but pray that next year will be COVID free for all and that Flying Legends 2022 will be a classic.

Thank you for your understanding and for your dedication and support.
Yours sincerely
Nick Grey
Director

I guess they were planning as if all restrictions would be lifted on the 21st, rather than planning to operate if they were still as they are today?

Seem's a bit daft, other Airshows start next week, plus you can now attend top tier motorsport, think they've dropped the ball there sadly.
