dealmonster doing two adult tickets for £19 and family ticket for £23
Re: Great Yorkshire Airshow - Leeds East Airport
do you think if you have a family ticket and the kids end up not going they will still let two adults in?
Re: Great Yorkshire Airshow - Leeds East Airport
Should do, as far as i am aware tickets will be checked after parking (going into the event) so all they do is scan the ticket bar code, the wont be any wiser as to if you have 2 kids trailing behind.Razor01 wrote:do you think if you have a family ticket and the kids end up not going they will still let two adults in?

Horrendous travel problems reported with Tadcaster grid-locked earlier in the day. Perhaps still ? Report from the traffic jam thanks to Razor01 , sadly !

Re: Great Yorkshire Airshow - Leeds East Airport
I noticed on the last page of yesterday's programme that next years show is on what would have been the Waddington weekend (3-4 July) and promised some very big things like Patrouille de France, F18 and B1 Lancer!!!
Also heard a lot of talk from locals stating that due to the ongoing runway issues at Waddington the 2016 show will be held at Church Fenton, hence why it will be the 'Great' Yorkshire Airshow next year.
Probably totally fictional but I thought it was worth a mention I know you guys love a good rumour!!! lol

Thought the show waqs brilliant and despite traffic problems well worth the effort to get there. 21 Years ago at the last show was the day my grandson was born and he was there ro see the Vulcan depart this year
Re: Great Yorkshire Airshow - Leeds East Airport
I don't think it will be called the GREAT Yorkshire Airshow as some guys down the road near Harrogate took umbrage to them using that name (allegedly!). Really excellent event though, thoroughly enjoyed it and was proud to be involved, albeit in a minuscule capacity. Incidentally we parked the C-47 in the hangar today, it'll be staying with us over winter at least. Sad to see the Venom forlorn on the pan with undercarriage problems, engineers were due over this week to take a look at her.

Re: Great Yorkshire Airshow - Leeds East Airport
The organisers of the Yorkshire AirFest held a public meeting and presentation for residents of the local parishes last Friday (19th Feb). Two thirds of the presentation covered a very comprehensive traffic management and parking plan which looks to introduce multiple entrances to the site with parking to the north and south of the airfield and a one-way route in and out of the area from the surrounding arterial roads. Although this does inconvenience villagers in the areas affected it was deemed more acceptable than last years grid-lock (residents will receive passes which should also enable them to move freely through traffic controlled areas). The show itself will be community/family orientated with a full range of activities built around a 4+ hour flying display on both days and a Fake Festival music concert on Saturday evening. The concert will be crowned by a firework display, a night-time flying display act and tethered balloon light show. The flying display boss is Paul Sall, a name many will know from various air shows including the now defunct RAF Waddington franchise. Paul remained tight-lipped about the show content, not least because he was struggling with a sore throat, but he did suggest that they were talking to one or two overseas operators to bring something a little different to the show. Full details will be announced on the soon-to-be-launched-website (http://www.yorkshireairfest.co.uk). Advance tickets only.
