Anyone go today? I was too busy to get there but caught glimpses of the Reds doing their stuff from afar.

Hopefully going to go tomorrow though as it looks a good show now. :thumb:

I did! T'was a cracking day, just a shame of the no-shows by the BBMF. Miss Demeanor's display was quite impressive, it must have been Ben flying as there was no flypast with the canopy open! Also the Lynx AH7 was pretty good, with a few new manouvres, although for the most part it was way too far out to sea. A shout must also be given to the Reds, who came closer to the beach than anyone else, and put on a cracking, poignant display. Was also nice to see a Tucano that wasnt the display one for a change, being a standard squadron bird :thumb: Plus it was nice to see HMS York moored off of the bay!

I would recommend the pier to anyone photography wise, as its the only way your not shooting directly into the sun.

Boy what a glorious day today! The sun is out again!

Looks a cracking show today. Some times I know of are Reds 14.00, BBMF 15.00, Hunter 16.46 and Tonka Role Demo 17.00 with the rest somewhere inbetween.

The Tornados will recover to Hurn direct from their display, rather than go there first. However if there is a spare,I would expect that to arrive shortly before 5 whilst the other two go about their business
Cheers

Had an enjoyable afternoon at the air fest today. Everything showed up bar the Lancaster which was u/s.

Army Lynx was u/s for his slot, but made it along later to perform. :thumb:

Good displays all round and even more tomorrow.

Popped down to the beach again today to catch the 'hour of power'. :thumb: Has been overcast all day and the cloud base was quite low, but it was dry and there were still top displays from those involved.

Hunter put on a good show and the cloud seemed to just keep all the noise in, and the Tornado's were vapourtastic. Vulcan did very well considering the conditions, so hat's off to them too.

Also had the Lancaster fly directly over my house at about 200ft earlier in the afternoon, which was also rather nice. :Wow:

Did you get the Buchon in the 'Historic Re-enactment'? ;) Havent seen any photo's of it..

Yesterday wasnt so bad in the end, wasnt looking great on the way down with stupidly low cloud and heavy rain around Romsey and Southampton, then with the incident at Pokesdown it was gone 12 before i got there! So kudo's to TVOC for making the treck down to Bournemouth, even though thats probably one of the stupidist idea's theyve yet made, and cracking displays by the Blades, AH7, Chinook, Miss Demeanor and the Tornado role demo was awesome from the pier, just wish my camera batteries hadnt picked that moment to die :grr:

I think theres room for improvement next year, the layout yesterday wasnt great and thursday was quite quiet in comparison to the other 3 days. Could have done with the Typhoon to liven things up earlier in the day. Also the gaps where missing items should have been (tutor/Wing walkers/Buchon) were left open, including quite a gap around 1500L.

Still was another good year for a show which has rightfully earned its place on the calender. For referance Bournemouth 2013 will be on the 29th August to september 1st.
