Update 24/02/2012:

Aviation News >> UK: Bruntingthorpe hosts unique event to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of The Falklands Conflict

Bruntingthorpe’s Cold War Jets Open Day on Sunday 6th May will commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Falklands Conflict with some quite unique appearances. Images as credited.

No official word on the Vulcan. What a shame it clashes with Abbo.

this was 4 weeks ago...

and i quote from Andy, a member of the team, comments from that day...

''Just to put the record straight, as I was in the seat for the No2 run today I can assure you there are no issues with the No2 engine, 101.5% 'max cold', twice, no problems, we do however have things to do to fix the on going No2 reheat issues, which is why I didnt 'drop' the burner in, another engine pull is on the cards very soon to access the problem.

No1 however, I am stood with my back to the camera on the first shot, does have RPM issues, 93% being gained today after many, many months of work, but still not right yet.
We are further ahead with her issues, but shes not 100% yet.
So yes its back to to the spanners.''

There'll be a VttS merchandise stand in attendance, but the Vulcan wont be there.

Unfortunatley for those of us who are thinking Abington or Bruntingthorpe for tomorrow 'secrets' about what may or may not be there dont really help!

would hazard a guess and say Andy as posted this being
an official of events at Brunti, this being a bump post with the event
being close. can merge the other to here if you want.
cheers Rich.
