Lowestoft airshow
Am i right in saying that the Red Arrows always base them selves at Norwich airport before and after the airshow plus other aircraft at the show can anybody help me with thanks Paul
Re: Lowestoft airshow
Not always, depends on flight commitments and what else is occuring at time. Might for example provide a flybye over a village fete on way in on one day but not the other. Do though quite often drop into Norwich for top-up after display, 119.350 Norwich zone will pick them up on way in/out, 243.450 will give you their air/air. 130.675 & 134.550 for the show.
Other aircraft can come, and often do, from any local airstrip along Suffolk coast

Thankyou mate are these up to date frequencied for the Arrows then as iv heard they mix it up every year. Thanks Paul
Re: Lowestoft airshow
Arrows have been using 243.450 as their air/air for some years, and still are. I have it in most banks in my scanner and if they're up you'll here them "holding the bank" etc. From Wells you will pick them up nicely at Scampton practice flights.
The show has also been using those civil vhf common frequencies for some years.
Cheers, Ted

Re: Lowestoft airshow
For the last 3 or maybe 4 years i believe they have based at Norwich. Last year, following the opening of the Saxon air terminal they were alot more viewable as they parked up there (rumoured to be due to alot cheaper costs than the airport itself)
Norwich normally gets a few items from the show nightstopping. Last year however the number was significantly lower than previous years, possibly due to a clash with Marham familes day. With this year being the first weekend display i'm expecting more to be stopping overnight on saturday (depending on lineup). Expect Saxon air will be their terminal of choice as well which is very handy for pics
