On the occasions I have seen them at Culdrose callsigns have always been the same, that is ZZ500 '570', ZZ501 '571', ZZ502 '572' & ZZ503 '573'.

Do the Avengers always use the 'Navy 5-- ' callsign or do they use a local callsign when operating in the Culdrose area?
I know the 750 NAS Jetstreams would use a local callsign e.g. 'Navy 561' would become 'Juliet 61' when operating locally.

regards, Mike

No mike..don't think they do.
Juliet were the jetstreams, sierra would be a seaking and golf would be Gazelle (or shark formation when up in pairs having a play. ;) )
Seakings still use the same and the Merlins use a Mike callsign. But the Avengers don't use anything.??or at least I've never heard them.using anything
BUT I'm shore I've heard them using callsigns in the 750s?? When out on a local test flight or communication flight. Like navy 751.
Anyone else heard this?
