Also heard about this today - very, very sad news - lovely guy was Geoff & fellow ex-metman to boot.

May it be CAVOK everyday where you rest Geoff.

I only met Geoff a couple of times but he was a true Gentleman.
Sad news indeed.

Geoff's funeral will be held at the Camborne crematorium (TR14 0BL) at 1100 Thursday 18 April - all are welcome. Amanda has requested no flowers, but contributions to St Julia's Hospice at Hayle would be most welcome.

Never met him, but hoped to get an opportunity to thank him personally for all the generous help he has given me with FRADU imagery, both on the existing and proposed sites.

RIP Geoff...

Helston is pretty much defined by Flora Day and RNAS Culdrose - I very much associate Geoff with both and am glad I have a copy of his book.

Cornwall Aviation Society well remembers Geoff for the very interesting, informative and often humorous talks he gave us on the history of Culdrose. We very much regret we won't be seeing him again. The Chairman and all CAS members have asked me to offer our condolences to his family.

South West Aviation Group and their parent magazine SWAG-MAG, and all of its Subscribers and Contributors will know of his valiant work over the years providing us with all the useful data emanating out of RNAS Culdrose - we will miss him.

Personally only met him once at the farewell to the Jetstream Day in March last year, a really good guy.

As you might expect there was a very large attendance this morning to say farewell to Geoff, he will certainly be missed, a big thank you to 771NAS who did Geoff proud with the flypast, white ensign flying below the Sea King.

Good to see you this morning although not under the best circumstances .
Glad you got back ok . It was great to see such a great attendance . Geoff was highly thought of and it showed by the the number of atendees . The navy did him proud and the 771sqn flypast was a fitting tribute .

Yes the Captain attended and a coach full from the airstation, as you say a reflection of the regard in which Geoff was held.
