Sorry, I didn't! I've even forgotten the callsign, though I think it was AAC965. (Assuming this was the Apache and not some other AAC Helo).

I've found that the Merlin coded 83 was ZH855, one of those that went to the Waddington Show - yet another new one for me :thumb:

I've also just answered my own question, and found that 502 is ZH841.

bertie - No sign of the Apache - do you mean today or yesterday (just had an Army Air callsign on Culdrose approach)?

Today we saw another one of 771NAS' machines out over the water near Falmouth harbour doing winching practise. Also had a Merlin over the top of Helford, coded 502 beneath the cockpit windows, first time I've seen a code there!
that was about the time i was leaving the job,and spotted a 109.. so look's like i have a made it :thumbs:

Returned home this morning, and on the way past Culdrose, the Fire Section door was open and I spotted the last Sea Harrier and Lynx - great stuff!

There were also three Merlins out by the tower, but didn't ID them.

Thanks for all the help over the week guys, very much appreciated!

Hi Ben Montgomery

I was also down in Cornwall last week and must at some point been very close to you guys.

I visited a couple of times on Tuesday and did the bus tour on Thursday.

I noticed in your logs that you noted two RAF Merlins in the MDMF... I did not log these two my self on the Thursday tour but did note in Shed W9 three RAF Merlins that were coded ( W ) ( B ) ( AB )

Could these be the three you saw but did not read off in your report.

They could well be! The two I saw were coded C and P, although I cannot remember which exact shed they were in!

Didn't realise you did serials Ben! :P I've only just noticed your PM about Predannack, I'll reply to that later :)

I'll try and answer all the requests you posted, sorry if I duplicate what you've already worked out!

ZH841 should be coded 82.

SFDO Harriers;
XZ440/DD-40
ZD579/DD-79
ZE690/DD-90
ZE692/DD-92
ZH797/DD-97
ZH798/DD-98
ZH803/DD-03
ZH813/DD-13
ZB603/DD-T03
ZD990/DD-T90

ZD611 is preserved outside: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrisglobe/4981620663" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
ZH804 and 811 are the bagged aircraft next to SFDO off the top of my head. Tried to ID them when I was there, it's not possible! ZH798 has the blue tail
ZH796 looked like this when I was there: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chrisglobe/4981728985" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Merlin coded 84 could be either ZH854 or ZH861, more likely 854 though!
ZH841/82
Can't find a Merlin coded 17.

I noted ZH841 with the code 502 on Thursday 30th June.
