On Culdrose's Air Day site, listed under the civillian heading is an AW101 SAR (tbc), now would this mean an example in Algerian colours, or do AW have an AW101 SAR demonstrator?

Can anyone confirm when Culdrose's runway will reopen, I thought work was due to be completed by the end of May ?

During the 'airfield now open' tannoy broadcast this morning was the message that the runway works are complete and a 'fixed wing diversion' was broadcast for the first time in months. Plus the King Air calibrator was flying around today so i guess that answers the question!

All of FRADU should be back at CU within the next 7 days :( (from a FRADU VLN enthusiast!)

This is probably no great surprise, but the Danish F-16 has now cancelled.

I'd say make the effort Pete, not a fantastic show in terms of exotic aircraft, but an entertaining day off. 3Tornado GR.4s booked, Sea Fury, BoB Flt, the debut of the Avengers and an Algerian Merlin on static should make good snaps.Plus if the weather does turn nasty, it's a day on the pee and only a short walk home!

I can see this becoming just a families day soon. It pretty much is just a display of based aircraft anyway at the moment. I mean, when i was at Lyneham, the families day there eclipsed this public air day.

To be fair though, the organisers are struggling to break even this year, the only free tickets are for based personell and immediate family - everyone else, including non-CU forces personell and contractors just wanting to get on site to work have to pay full price.

Still, all the best for Cornwall's only airshow, it deserves to be better than it is though.

Free tickets for base personel, whatever next, at VL only those working on the day get in free, EVERYONE else pays service personel included.

Hope the day turns out well, as for the German Lynx, its cancelled at VL I believe, so its not coming for the 40th Aniv lineup.

Thinking more and more that I'll give it a miss this year and just watch the overhead from house.

Just read in that the Danish F16 which had cancelled from Riat is back in the flying display, could be a good sign for CU!

Lynx mk88 allegedly inbound to VL for their show, so could be still on the cards for CU show.
