Busy With Visitors, These Last Ten Minutes.

Post by Malfatron Malkovic » Wed Sep 19, 2012 4:25 pm

Just as i returned to Helston, at 17:00 i notice a SK 4 depart, no ID other than Arctic stripes.
At 17:05 a jet, which i failed to eyeball departed, it didn't sound like a Hawk.
At 17:10 a Merlin 3 departed. (Again no ID).

Thank you, chief, nice one.
The 125 is one i am after. ( It explains the jet noise perfectly)
The Merlin is suspect though, ZH865 is neither a Mk.1, Mk.2 or Mk.3! ZH865 = Hercules C.4

That does make more sense, thanks. ZH856 is a Merlin, but a Mk.1. I am 100% positive it was a Mk.3 i saw, so i can only conjecture it must have been a Depth machine on test. The route looked more akin to going home, than the normal test pattern.

By way of post-script : I managed - a very shaky - snap of the SK.4. Having just looked at it, the code is WR - which should make it ZE425.
