Predannack Airframes Removed

Sad state of affairs that due to increased theft of parts from the airframes in the fire dump a number of these airframes are and have been removed.
This is to encourage people to not access the site. No doubt if trespass continues MOD will be forced to put a fence up and look at prosecutions.

So if your offered or remove bits from any of the aircraft serials there you are in receipt of stolen goods and subject to prosecution.

Rumour mill says that they may well move all rescue training to Culdrose near the current training facilities and no airframes will remain. This will then make viewing at Culdrose difficult.

Shame a few idiots spoil it for all.

Another large part of it was that most of the airframes in question were long past it and heavily deteriorated.

Airframes for rescue training will be placed at Culdrose instead of Predannack. The location of the area will make them to far from the viewing area to see.

That was already the case for a long time with Jetstream ZA111 positioned at the Culdrose fire training area. Since its move to Predannack (and subsequent removal) there's been no replacement and I don't believe there ever will be - they have dedicated training rigs alongside the two rigs at Predannack.

And 2 rigs at Culdrose. Time will tell if they can support financially 2 active training sites.
