Duxford Air Festival 25th - 26th May 2019
Re: Duxford Air Festival 25th - 26th May 2019
1. Entry to the IWM is included with the ticket price.
2. Display centre is somewhere close to the Land Warfare Hall/Airliners, I believe. You'll get a decent view along the majority of the display line though.

Lineup looks rather good this year, thinking of adding flightline walk to my ticket this year.
I'd like to get up close with the Chinook.

There is a showground map on this link. It's from the 2018 Sept show. Don't see much being changed.knutt wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 9:20 amCouple of quick questions regarding the show.
1. Does the standard ticket including admission to IWM or do you have to pay extra ?.
2. Where is the display line and display centre located. I have tried looking for a map online and can not find one.
thanks

Re: Duxford Air Festival 25th - 26th May 2019
will there be any practise displays on the friday??
Re: Duxford Air Festival 25th - 26th May 2019
Starbucks - You don’t need to add ‘flight line walk’ to your advance ticket. You are better paying for it at the ‘flightline walk’ entrance gate on the day. It’ll be the same price and gives you the option of not doing it if the weather is bad. One of the shows last year had nothing much on the ‘flightline walk’ due to bad weather.

What's Duxford like for stalls? I am hoping to (and my bank account isn't) to get quite a few models.

There was a few decent stalls selling Airfix / Revell type kits back at the Battle of Britain air show last year. Had some rare / discontinued kits as well so it’s worth a rummagejasonT1981 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 11:05 pmWhat's Duxford like for stalls? Just had in confirmed that RAF Lakenheath crews will be present outside the American Air Museum selling merchandise.
Really wish I didn't have to cancel now...

Re: Duxford Air Festival 25th - 26th May 2019
Hey everyone,
Is there anyone I could contact to find out what activity will be happening on the friday before the airshow, please? Don't think I'll be able to make it for either day on the weekend, and i'm wondering whether to book the Friday off to see the practice sessions. Thought this would be the best place to make this kind of enquiry, someone may have a contact somewhere! Don't know if the fighter collection have a timetable or anything? Or if it's all done off the cuff, so to speak
Thanks!

Weather looking better for Duxford now... sunny intervals and a high of 18 on Saturday ...Sunday a high of 20 with a chance of possibly a shower.
Shame the F15E Heritage Jet is only at Duxford on Sunday... not great for those that have paid the same... and got less

I’ve been told from a good source that the red tail 492nd hatter won’t be making the flypast on Sunday as it’s broken
Re: Duxford Air Festival 25th - 26th May 2019
Thought the Red tailed Heritage jet was from the 494th Panthers?
492nd being Yellow and the 493rd Blue.

They have used the old ww2 colours instead of the actual colours they have associated with them at present.

2-3 days left to fix it? To be honest any of the Heritage jets would be good, especially the flight-shy yellow-tail!Iceman1979 wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2019 8:30 pmI’ve been told from a good source that the red tail 492nd hatter won’t be making the flypast on Sunday as it’s broken
