Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July
Yes P47, typo on my behalf.
This is from the official list, program from today,
We can say this was printed a few days ago, so open to change.
Unless you have a more up to date official list you can publish, this gives the best
List to date of what to expect the weekend, pretty sure the times could and will be juggled around for the weather expected.

How did we ever manage in the past without knowing what was meant to be there and happen down to the last detail?

I cannot now arrive Sunday by car (Blue zone / concorde hangar side) until 2pm. Anyone know if I can still get in or will an 'exit only road closure be in place ?
Any info appreciated....perhaps info what it looks like as your leaving the show ?

Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July
Took me 10 minutes to get out the green car park straight onto M11. Very well organised
Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July
yesterday i left at 5.45 from blue car park with only a couple of minutes delay with a well organised exit set up you could turn left or right but im not sure what time they start setting it up (give them a call?) its a cracking show ...good luck..cheers
Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July
Many thanks for car park replies...seems like you had the best day weather wise !
Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July
Damn ! .......wasn't able to make it in the end due to circumstances. Out of interest did the weather affect the displays much and did the RA's manage to turn up and at least give some display due to weather (Sunday)
Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July
The Reds flew past me in Waddington at 1720, their display was planned for 1700 so I'm guessing they didn't get much/any if their display in?
Unless they displayed early?
Unless they displayed early?
Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July
Reds displayed early and carried out a rolling display as some quite incredible thunderstorms rolled on over the last 20 minutes of the flying. Everything flew as planned with a bonus solo display from MH434, after its paired display with the PRXI. Typhoon had some great vapour on it throughout its display.

Reds display was on time I believe (1705 commencing) and spot on the current standard time of 20 minutes - unusually for me I photographed both the arrival and the vixen break on my phone so I have timings for both. I think you must have misread the time when you saw them Reaper493! Frankly amazed they displayed - the weather rumbling around really did make it seem unlikely, thankfully they grabbed a gap to get out of Stansted and were then able to skirt round the weather to get to us. Watching a display with lightning flickering across the sky directly ahead was faintly surreal, though!

Re: Duxford Summer Airshow - 24-25 July
I would concur with a miss read on the time, they came over the North end of Royston around 17:30(local), departing from Duxford to the West. Fantastic sight/sound out of the bedroom window, near enough right overhead ( 9 jets? 8 in formation + a spare? ).RedsSnapper wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 12:47 pmReds display was on time I believe (1705 commencing) and spot on the current standard time of 20 minutes - unusually for me I photographed both the arrival and the vixen break on my phone so I have timings for both.
