Chinese J-31 for Farnborough?
Early speculation suggests the Shenyang J-31 may make its international debut at Farnborough International Air Show 2016. Lots of people getting excited about it but can anyone find evidence that it will happen?

I have my doubts.
If it is a fake though, someone has gone to great lengths with the url on the link though.
I have tweeted FIA2016, will post back if they respond.

That webpage does look a little 'low rent'.. but lest just wait and see.

Via the Farnborough Airshow Twitter feed
Cheers, RogContrary to what you might have read the J31 is not confirmed to Fly at #FIA16. We are looking forward to seeing the #F35 though.
Re: Chinese J-31 for Farnborough?
The grammar is appalling so I would guarantee it is a fake! I would expect much better from a real FIA press release.
Cheers

Cheers for clearing that up, chaps. I thought the grammar etc might have been something to do with a translation - like when you get an instruction manual that makes no sense
Re: Chinese J-31 for Farnborough?
Just a thought, but the Chinese have three stands at Farnborough this year. Could it be that we WILL see the J31, but Farnborough denied it because they wanted to officially announce it at a later date?
The wording of their previous denial makes me wonder:
"Contrary to what you might have read the J31 is not confirmed to Fly at #FIA16. We are looking forward to seeing the #F35 though."
Doesn't say it won't be though does it?

I would not keep your hopes up it was not even in the static display at Zhuhai in 2014

I suspect your right, although I did notice that Farnborough have taken over the running of an airshow in China from next year though, so expect they might be in a position and have a desire to do something spectacular with China?Northsky wrote:I would not keep your hopes up it was not even in the static display at Zhuhai in 2014
