RAF WADDINGTON - Airshow 2012 - Arrivals.

Although the majority of arrivals are on the Friday I just wondered if anyone had heard rumours or otherwise of anything arriving earlier in the week? I am aware the Black Eagles are reported as due in from Monday 25th but the Algerian Herc, Aussie Wedgetail, Qatar transports and Saudi Hawks strike me as just some of the possible early arrivals......??

If anyone has any info as the days pass I would be very grateful.

The news so far, with many thanks to Softbill Man :-

"Ok people, here is the info I have been waiting for. The Wedgetail is confirmed as arriving Mon 25 not sure of time (am or pm), also on Mon the Saudi Hawks with a Herc will arrive in the morning. The Herc may do 2 trips to get stuff from Yeovilton. Late afternoon the Black Eagles should arrive from Leeming. The Black Eagles plan to fly sorties out of Waddington on Tue and Wed, probably around mid-day. They will fly a formation sortie followed by a singleton."

I believe the Aussie Wedgetail is arriving on Monday it could be in the morning or afternoon I not quite sure hope that helps.

Wedgetail is expected in at 10:45 tomorrow (Monday). Sea kings also due in at some point in the morning as are the saudi's.

Thats different to what ive heard. the latest is Saudi's now this morning with the Wedgetail at 3pm.

Either way im here now and should see something both this morning and this afternoon

Calling the Friday "Arrivals Day" is getting to be more of a misnomer as the years go by. More and more of the interesting stuff arrives during the week with mainly the civvy stuff being mopped up on the Friday. Last year was particularly poor value on the Friday - especially with landing away from the enclosure. Can anyone tell me what will be worth going to see on Friday please?

Cant help you out reg friday arrivals but understand what your saying we get less aircraft attending shows but seems to take longer for them to arrive, sure when i was younger most participants arrived day before show

PARK & VIEW ENCLOSURE (PAVE) OPENING TIMES FOR 2012

We are delighted to confirm that the Park & View Enclosure (PAVE) will be open for the 2012 Waddington Air Show. The PAVE will be open on Thursday 28 June, Friday 29 June and Monday 02 July. Opening times and prices have yet to be confirmed.
