There's been another theme added at some point...

5(AC) Sqn Centenery
Number 5 (Army Cooperation) Squadron was reformed on 1st April 2004 at RAF Waddington, marking the beginning of a new era in the world of military Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) for the Squadron. The new role for ‘5’ is to operate the Airborne Stand-Off Radar (ASTOR) System, which consists of five modified Bombardier Global Express long-range business jets and eight Ground Stations. In RAF service, the aircraft type will be known as the Sentinel R Mk 1, with the R acknowledging its Reconnaissance pedigree. The Squadron will celebrate 100 years since its formation in 1913.

Sentinel special scheme anyone

John :)
Much as I love seeing Migs having seen the Romanian Mig 21 display a number of times I have to say it is pretty underwhelming - they do a very high act and for the most part is a dot on the Horizon
a viewing platform in Holland would probably get a better image than the Waddington crowdline

Looking at some of those assets listed as (F) it looks like there might be a set piece/role demo - or wishful thinking on my part?!

The info & themes page has also been updated. Disappointed to see that Spain have declined, ruling out any chances of a Harrier this year. :(

The Italians are still showing as "ongoing" so there's always their Harriers however slim a chance that is

Hi all what is this arrivals day..do you just hang around the aircraft viewing area on the A15... quite fancy it as me and my mate can never understand why they go to the trouble of flying a phantom over from europe just to park it up all show weekend and not do a flying display!!

The viewing area(the WAVE) is normally closed all weekend (including the Friday & Monday(?)), but there's an on-base enclosure set-up for arrival's day - more details will follow in the weeks to come.
