The C130 my have its anniversary this year but is not a special cellebration at RIAT (at leat not at this moment).
RIAT will celebrate the anniversaries of the Reds, F16 and Hawk this year.

Can't darn wait! Glory days will never return, but it's 6 days of pure aviation and beer, and that's what matters!

Am I getting excited about.....
1. Spending ten days in the Cotswolds
2. With people who have become some of my best mates
3. With Arkells 3B within five minutes of me
4. Seeing god knows how many aircraft

HELL YES!!!!!

Working nigh on 90 hours over the course of the week is fantastic and gets me out of the little bubble that is my office, only four and a half months to go!! Come rain or shine I'm always happy (between 4am and 8am are slightly iffy though ;) )

Cheers,

Rob

Yep cant wait!
I am in the caravan club site from Wens to Sunday, then cycle to the 27 end each day for arrivals then show day on Saturday. You see most of the a/c above us in the camp site so I usualy leave late Sunday, after the show and after the traffic. Only an hour and a half to get home as well!

I had my heart on spending the weekend soaking up the atmosphere at Flying Legends, but this year on a whim I decided to purchase an online RIAT ticket.
Well it wasn't just a whim, my fellow workmate reminded me that the Fitters and Crusaders were attending. Well I had to didn't I!
I've never been to RIAT before even though I have been attending airshows for many years (on and off), but mainly Legends. I notice they normally share the same weekend.
So my plan is to do Duxford on the Friday as I hope to see the Constellation arrive, attend the show and get close & personal with the Connie on the Saturday, then RIAT on the Sunday.

I'll start doing my incantations to summon a heatwave for RIAT weekend!

Good luck on seeing Crusaders!

IAT hasn't really been that exciting since Crusaders and Starfighters etc retired.

I slightly envy people who have just joined the hobby and can get excited over such a low key line up!

Constantly amazed at what turns up at RIAT after all these years. Always come away feeling 'What a great show'.

Those that moan please please don't go!

I think RIAT is the best organised air show in the world, and it makes you proud to be British.
