Post by Skywatcher » Thu Oct 31, 2013 10:06 am

I hope this isn't too early to start one
So here goes :)
1.Freecie Tricolorey (Italian Air Force aerobatic team)
2.Red Arrows (for there 40th anniversary)
3.JAs-39(Swedish)
4.MiG-29(Polish )
5.any AH-64
6.f-15E(lakenheath)
7.KC-130J HAVEST HAWK
8.MC-130J
9.A400M Atlas
10.Typhoon fgr4
I would be a happy chap if any of these turned up next year :thumb:

Simple list for me

Sun
As many Tornados GR4 / IDS /ECRs as they can muster. The new IX(B)Sqn 100th anniversary special tail would be most welcome if it's ready. Bearing in mind their centenary isn't until December 2014 and they should have a Herrick deployment sometime next year.
Any US participation

Would love but won't get hope up
Ramex Delta
Polish Air Force SU-22
F-35

It'll be a great few days away so I'll be happy whatever turns up :thumb:

Can't fault your list, but if being picky, it's the Reds 50th next year.

1.) As many F-16's as possible from as many nations as possible to celebrate the 40th anniversary

2.) As above but with the Hercs to celebrate the 60th anniversary

3.) A new display team for the reds anniversary, seen as the Reds went over to Russia for their 100th celebration last year it'd be nice for the Knights to return the favour

4.) F-35, strong possibility with it being a Farnborough year and them wanting to prove it is'nt the disaster its widely acclaimed to be

5.) Polush Su-22 pair, loved the Mig the past two years but never seen a Su-22 so hopeing they send them

6.) The Americans back, doubt it'll be like it used to but a couple of Mildenhall tankers, Osprey, Talon and LN Eagles would make a big difference, maybe even a couple from across the pond too

7.) Ukranian Su-27, Was supposedly be coming this year but did'nt so hopefully next year

8.) Rafale, I simply love it

9.) Super Hornet, Farnborough year so huge chance

10.) Japanese F-15, least chance out the lot, probably no chance in fact but with the 767 coming last year then who knows, plus there liveries are just too nice.

Maybe the Red's tour of the Middle East leaving today might push for some more display teams to join the RIAT display line up?

It would be nice to see the Blue Angels plus maybe a mass fly over of all resident display teams to finish the show

As part of a wish list, I'd certainly love to see an SU-34 & TU-160, it would be nice to get the Russians back.

However............
As part of a complete "fantasy" list, (Oh how I wish I was a billionaire!) I'd have a cold war style 14 aircraft scramble with:

Vulcan's XH558, XL426 & XM655,
Victor XM715,
Nimrod XV226,
VC10 ZA147,
Lightning XR728 & XS904,
Canberra XH134,
Jaguars XX119 & XX835,
SHAR ZX798 & ZE692
Hunter G-PSST Miss D

Who'd come along to my airshow then hehehe :P

:Wow: :Wow: :Wow: :Wow:

Hmmm the reds 50th/F-16 40th seems as good an opportunity as any for the Thunderbirds to return.......Obviously if sequestration allows.

No Thunderbirds in Europe next year either.

However, looks like the Canadian F-18 will have multiple displays in Europe next year, fingers crossed

The Canadian hornet would be fantastic

Shame RIAT is a month later than the D Day celebrations. Think what the participation could have been like with at least one US carrier about :Wow:
