Vendors at RIAT Accepting Cards or Cash.....?

Planning to go to my first RIAT since 2019.

Do most of the vendors and Food Court stands now accept card payments or is it still sensible to carry enough cash to pay for lunch ?

Many thanks

Always take cash most vendors use that and the atm machines on base don't always work well, Some do take card but not many.

I didn't use cash on Thursday or Saturday last year, didn't have a problem.

.. apart from trying to eat pie, mash, peas and gravy with a wooden knife!!!

Also useful to have cash incase you want to buy merchandise from the pilots/aircrew.

You were lucky, it took me nearly 20 minutes to buy a T-shirt from a vendor on the Saturday as there was so little network coverage for the card machine.

I would certainly recommend bringing some cash along as well

From FRIAT forum. They are aware there was a WiFi issue last year and put it down to the supplier not installing a dedicated mast. Hopefully this year the situation will be improved.

I’m taking cash as it helps budget!

Am hoping the network situation will be improved from last year. I live close to the base and rely on Vodafone of which there was precisely zero download availability last year. There was enough of a dribble to keep feeding 360 Radar
