Park and view East

Post by red leader » Sat Jul 01, 2023 5:00 pm

Does anyone know where the car park for Park and view East will be this year? I know some years it's been on base and other years on the opposite side of the road. I missed last year so I'm about out of touch.

Parking last year for east on the Thursday was on base and on the concrete hard standing, I'm going Thursday this year and planning on east so far if they are coming in this way 🤞

Where abouts is the entrance for the p&v east this year? Also what's the likelihood of picking up tickets on the day?

There are a small number of tickets available for those turning up on the day but I suspect you need to get there at silly o’clock to be successful. I don’t know how they police the park and views.

Iirc, the entrance was just along the fence past the quarry lane opposite, through the gate along the concrete up onto the hard standing, loads of bodies in high Vis doing a good job directing you to where you need to park up.

Can't comment on collecting tickets, I have mine on my phone and they scan it ok from there 👍

Hello, purchased park and view for Thursday and just realised there's no car pass with it. Looked on the website and it says parking is included in the ticket. Am I missing something? Any help much appreciated.

We no longer need parking passes for any other day do we? Certainly haven't for the past few shows as far as I can recall. As for Park & View, I assumed on that the clue about parking being a given was in the name... ;)

It's in the name, "Park and View". It's included, as you have to park at the virwing area.

Depends on what you want, landings or taxying and occasional run and break

So did anyone in P&V East today (Thursday) manage to see the other B52 that is parked on static. I couldn't spot it anywhere.

It's up the green end, viewable from P+V West. Essentially on the eastern edge of last year's southside operational area down there

Trying to decide between west and east for tomorrow. How far in front of the take off mark do you view from at east(if any)? Thanks
