Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2020 Discussion Thread
Glastonbury has postponed till next year,I really can not see RIAT going ahead to be honest.I would have thought if Glasto went ahead then RIAT may well have tried to put some sort of show on if allowed that is .

I work with an RAF reservist, who had been told he would be at RIAT - working on the airside. Saw him earlier this week and he said, it was off.
If he's wrong I will be happy, if not ce la vie.

Lets see what is happening at beginning of April if it is still like this then maybe if it has changed for the better then i still believe it will happen.

Personally I think it should be cancelled now. Even if the show was to go ahead in my opinion at least 80% of the invited nations will decline or cancel in future weeks and if the nation was just climbing out of a horrendous period a gathering of over 100,000 people would surely be a risk that shouldn't be taken

The problem isn't going to go away in two weeks. If you think it could then you clearly don't grasp the seriousness of this pandemic.

" Some people have zero grasp of the seriousness of the situation".
I echo the sentiments of a previous poster. Words fail.

Nothing wrong with a light hearted joke in dark times...
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2020 Discussion Thread
Very serious I went to Sainsbury earlier and they had no tiger meat (spelt correctly because this is serious)

It's called gallows humour and it's something us Brits have been doing for eons! We all know we are in serious times and it's times like this we need the humorous moments so lighten the hell up people!
Cheers
