Re: Sunday Display Times
US F16 has an issue, vibrations in the cockpit.
Just done a fly through and can see rear right stabiliser is flapping at the rear. On approach to land now

Re: Sunday Display Times
The Slovenian PC-9 isn't there so that won't be displaying either

Re: Sunday Display Times
Finnish F-18 has displayed already, Swiss now taking it's slot this afternoon.
Re: Sunday Display Times
I can understand why people are upset about sunday display being different to the saturday but have to pay the same amount but you get what seems like almost 2 hours less flying display. I know you get to choose what day you go but some people dont have a choice whether its work or family comitments.

The F16 suffered a bird strike.

Re: Sunday Display Times
Assume that's just a rumour. No bird strike was reported and it appeared that the rear of the left stabilator had delaminated

I got that information from Gloustershire Live but they've since added "Confirmation when we get it"

Re: Sunday Display Times
No B-2 flypast then.
It sounded quite a strong rumour being promulgated (a Boris word!) by people including myself.

Re: Sunday Display Times
There was no bird strike. The stabiliser trailing edge structure failed during a high speed pass followed by a 9g right turn away from crowd.Prometheusuk wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 5:08 pmI got that information from Gloustershire Live but they've since added "Confirmation when we get it"

Re: Sunday Display Times
The pilot's comms to tower stated that the tailhook had deployed inadvertently. At that speed, and manoeuvring, I imagine the aerodynamic forces on adjacent structures could be pretty severe?PeteHemsley wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 7:23 pmPrometheusuk wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 5:08 pmI got that information from Gloustershire Live but they've since added "Confirmation when we get it"
