Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
They are different.
The nose cone is different, more like a Sea Harrier nose cone, (longer).

Thanks guys. That makes sense.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
Altough the same aircraft can be different, different aircraft can't be the same

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
So it seems like we won't be getting a Mig-29 or SU-22 from Poland as I have heard that the Migs are still grounded and the SU-22s are now grounded too
Pity as they would have made an already looking great show even better...I think the days of the Migs are getting behind us now, just hope the Romanians turn up with the Mig-21 as it really could be the last chance we see a flying Mig on these shores.

Now the Dutch Apaches are grounded.

Hopefully they are sorted before RIAT.

I think the Polish Navy said they wanted to send a M28.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
That's correct.
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
MiG-21 confirmed!
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
Finally
MiG-21 LanceR and C-27J Spartan Confirm!
A Romanian Air Force MiG-21 LanceR will appear in the Air Tattoo flying display this summer, alongside a C-27J Spartan in the static display! Last seen displaying at RAF Cottesmore at the 2001 Air Tattoo and on static display in 2005, the MiG 21 will make the journey to the UK to join NATO 70th celebrations.
This is yet another rare fast jet addition, making the Air Tattoo flying display one of the most diverse in the world. Other confirmed aircraft include the Ukrainian Su-27, Spanish Navy Harrier and USAF F-16 Viper Demo Team.
Cheers

We all knew and hoped it would happen and it has what an amazing amazing update ...Credit to the Romanians for trying to comeback this year after last years terrible accident.
Well done again DBH 2 Harriers, SU-27 and Mig-21 all flying displays now surely nobody can moan about that

Yet again, another cracking update. 40 days to go until it starts, cannot wait for what will be another brilliant weekend in Gloucestershire.

It is an excellent update. Are they likely to bring a spare?
Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2019 Discussion Thread
Yes, most likely.
