Took us 10 minutes and none of us was searched, either by scanner or a bag search

They were probably queuing at the newly introduced Totally Out Of Our Control Refund Desk.

It seemed to me that the centre section of the static line wasn't geared up for military enthusiasts, but more for the business of selling aircraft. Felt as if I could have been at Farnborough. I'm sure they'll be lots of criticism of the show but for me there was a decent variety of aircraft. My only complaint was that a lot of flying/flypast aircraft were on the far side and couldn't be photographed. Theres plenty of empty space on the south side so why couldn't they make a larger 'pit' area so you could photograph the flying jets, I seem to remember they did this a few years ago. Weather was aweful at times yesterday but you can't guarantee the British summer will play ball.

Trunk 11, I've not been to (R)IAT since 1993, but I thought exactly the way you do, that the Flying Aircraft are out of view on the far side and photography is impossible and some really nice schemes are hidden and if that Aircraft is a spare then it's never seen apart from those lucky soles who went on the photobus - is that still going?...………..

Apparently the Red Arrows and the PdF are to do a joint flypast in a formation of 2 Concordes shortly, nice! :thumb:

Parking was absolutely shambolic, over an hour to get out. Marshalls had no clue alongisde being sarcastic and arrogant. Worst I've ever seen it. Couldn't organise a pee up in a brewery! :grr: Everyone fighting to get into the queue, no logical system and they didn't have a care in the world.

Great day! Harriers were epic! Really enjoyed seeing the Mig 21. Enjoyed all the displays, the B747 with the Reds was lovely to see.

It was horrendous, I usually have no issues getting in or out but that was a free for all, no traffic management or common sense by drivers, it was like a destruction derby. I put this down to an abnormal amount of people staying until the end this year, the usual mass exodus after the Reds had performed didnt seem to happen which usually aids the departure flow nicely.

That was my only real gripe though, the show was very good with sone real highlights and memories.
