Not really necessary that comment. If you read back, you can see I realised it had been put on the website (I hadn't seen it anywhere else so didn't know) and I then apologised to Mark.

I agree with James, your comment wasn't at all necessary.

Put your toys back in your prams, the information is on RIATs website... it IS public knowledge.
Sorted out hours ago, no need for you to chirp in thanks, myself and James are quite capable of dealing with it amicably like adults :thumb:
Cheers
Mark

Turkish F-4Es Confirmed!

You can imagine our delight when yesterday at 5:30pm our Head of Air Operations told us the great news that Turkey had confirmed with two F-4E Phantoms!

Turkey is one of the last bastions of the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom and two of them will be parked in the static display of this year's Air Tattoo for visitors to see up close and chat to crews. Turkish Air Force Phantoms previously visited the Air Tattoo in 2006 and last year 111 Filo celebrated 60 years of the Phantom.

Pictured below is a special tailed aircraft to celebrate that anniversary, photographed yesterday by FRIAT member Kev Daws in Konya. We aren't yet able to confirm if this is one of the aircraft joining us; but we hope it is!

For clarification, that's the Dutch AH-64D.

Not surprised given their grounding. Shame really, but safety first!

Shame the Dutch AH-64D Apache cancelled as the aircrew are always so nice to talk to about the aircraft....Hopefully not too much else cancels but these things cannot be helped if anymore do......I wonder what will get confirmed in today's update if we get one that is :S

Just out

•Today we've got static confirmations from Qatari cargos and Latin light attack aircraft!
•Qatar returns with a C-17 and C-130J, we have a debut from Embraer's EMB-314 Super Tucano, a first for the Air Tattoo and a type that will be of interest to many enthusiasts.
•The RAF confirms both its new rotary wing trainers, the H135 and H145 helicopters, whilst the Maritime and Coastguard Agency will also be in attendance with S-92 and AW189 helicopters.
•Other civilian types also confirm, including the National Flying Laboratory Centre with a Jetstream 31

Qatar is a nice addition
