RIAT 19 is looking seriously thin!!!
With another 7 updates to go and with the RAF still to confirm there additions to the static park plus USAF are still to add to there already excellent contribution I don't think there is anything to worry about.
Where did you get this information from ? Wonder if USAF will do any more flying displays

They still haven't confirmed the French aerobatic team yet though they've self confirmed !

"..alarming"!? I dont think the number of aircraft confirmed/not confirmed for an airshow can really be described as alarming? Alarming would be if there was a nuke on the way from Russia, i got home to find my house had been burgled, there were no biscuits left in the tin etc ;)

On another note i have a friend who is a pilot in the NATO E-3A unit and they are very stretched at the moment on ops and exercises, so be prepared for their possible non-attendance in the flypast.

I doubt the USAF will send anymore flying displays this year as they are all due to be at events in the US when RIAT is on, There might be more from France apart from PDF to be announced? Who knows we will find out in the coming weeks...I for one think it looks a great lineup so far with 8 weeks to go.

Just hoping that Poland will either send a mig 21, su 22 or f16 for flying, Turkey ab f16 and Romania mig 21 as there are ongoing discussions

The Bank Holiday is almost here and we’re back with another announcement! Joining the diverse mix of military aircraft at the 2019 Air Tattoo, the Royal Air Force have confirmed that the Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning will perform a flypast on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 July!

The F-35B is currently deployed on Exercise Lightning Dawn in Cyprus, the RAF’s first overseas exercise. We are also planning two other special flypasts for Sunday 21 July and more information will be released as soon as we can.

Tickets for Saturday are now over 80% sold out; you can book yours today: bit.ly/2HP5edS

Excellent news on the F-35 even though its only a flypast hopefully like last years when it came in to hover was an awesome sight.....More good news about Sunday flypasts which is good news for people only going the Sunday as they will miss the NATO flypast.

All in all its shaping up very nicely 2 or 3 different flypasts over the course of the weekend and the flying display and whatever else to be confirmed and someone said RIAT 2019 looking thin!!

Me thinks someone will be eating their words come July

Do you not mean Mig-29 from Poland? As that's what I am hoping for along with the SU-22 Fitters, F-16 would be nice but saw it last year so Mig-29 would be a nice change.

I am sure someone mentioned a few weeks ago some Polish aircraft self confirmed for static but cannot remember off top of my head, As James said Romania is sending Mig-21s hopefully with a C-27 along as support.

Turkey could be Solo-Turk or it might be something else either way it's a good sign that they are in discussions for sending something over.

As far as I'm aware, the mig29 are still grounded so I wouldn't hold out too much hope on that one.

Brilliant update... What aircraft make up a 'special flypast' ?? :D

The Polish Mig-29 demo team said last month on their Facebook that they were displaying at some airshow in Europe in June...I am sure I put the link for it somewhere on this thread if not the link is on the UKAR thread.

B-1, B-2, B-52? Hopefully not a Civilian passenger plane as I have heard on other sites not that I am ungrateful just if I want to see a passenger aircraft I can go to any airport to see that would prefer Military aircraft for the Special Flypasts.

If the US did I really would like to see the c-17 thrown round. I see it back at mildenhall and was impressed with how much it can move.

I wonder if any other War Birds will be announced? For either flying or static always good to see the older airframes as much as jet fighters.

Does anyone think the F-4 Phantom might appear this year? As that's always a great aircraft to see wont be around for too much longer so would be great to see once more.

Would be perfect if a Phantom was flying. Doubt we’ll be that lucky but I’m happy to be wrong!

Best chance of an F-4 would be a Greek one on the static park.

I sure hope "some airshow in June" is the Luchtmachtdagen in the Netherlands. They recently removed their SU-22 and Case 295 from the list, so hopefully they put them back with that MiG...
Anyway, slightly off-topic, so I'll just say I'm very hyped for RIAT, no matter what will come, I will sit back and enjoy it
