It's 344.

By the way, military aircraft have serials and civilian aircraft have registrations.

Also, a question mark (?) should be used after asking a question.

Rc135 has just departed Waddington, presumably heading to Fairford.

Was not the special marked zz664.

I'm not involved in Threshold any more, so wasn't me! Just nice that the guys are keeping up with my traditional list :)

Airseeker is ZZ665, Spitfire should be AR501/G-AWII.

Hi,

The whole reconnaissance system is Airseeker. The airframe part of that system is Rivet Joint Hope that helps. It doesn't help that the RAF gets it wrong!

Because of the serial/reg issue or the question mark?

Nothing wrong with trying to educate a little bit - Maybe the second is "pedantic" but that is one of Mike's traits - some of use older members are fussy about standards - you won't change us :) And yes I realise that may people won't either!

Continuing the first point however, registrations are by definition on a register as held by national aviation authorities. Serials are assets on an inventory for an air arm.

Lesson over - enjoy RIAT :thumb:
