Red Arrows Pits Visit

Post by Ontheflightpath » Fri Jul 11, 2014 4:25 pm

A RELATIVE WENT TO THE PITS VISIT TODAY (FRIDAY 11TH) ARRIVING IN THE QUEUE FOR THIS AT 9AM. THEY FOUND THE QUEUE VERY VERY LONG INDEED, AND WAITED OVER AN HOUR TO GET IN. ONCE INSIDE IT WAS WELL ORGANISED AND THRILLING.

THE ADVICE FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, IF VISITING THE RED ARROWS PITS, IS TO ARRIVE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE AND GET IN THE QUEUE STRAIGHT AWAY, TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT AS THEY DID CLOSE IT ON TIME AND SOME PEOPLE DIDN'T GET IN.

HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL.

Can you explain exactly what you are queuing for? I understand it that you would be allowed to walk around all Red Arrows Hawks, but from what I saw on TV, everyone appeared to be kept behind a barrier?

The queue was to get into the showground at 10am. Once in, there was no problem walking around the pits area and certainly no further queuing! However this privilege only went on until 12.30 as this area then went 'live'. I was also under the impression that this was only available on the Friday and NOT on either of the weekend days.
