Captive audience, Prices always high but if you want to eat then you have to pay
can you give an example say Bacon Barm and a cup of tea ?? because that my first port of call Saturday on arrival
Well a burger was 7 quid and cheeseburger 8 quid a try of chips was a fiver, Not sure about tea and coffee but tins of juice are 2.50 each absolute rip off!!!!

Pretty much what you would expect to be honest as everybody is trying to claw back the money they have lost over last two years or so, that said I agree it is steep even for Fairford but I bet anybody who was at Silverstone last week or so paid similar

thanks for taking the time to update, have a good arrivals day

That's about 50p to £1 more than I was paying at Cosford last month. Helps to shop around as there was some variation. Perhaps not all traders are onsite yet?

That is true about people trying to claw back money, On the plus side nothing from the official RIAT stands has gone up in price,

That's no problem about updating just thought it would be good for people to be prepared for the prices.

Thanks for giving an idea - that sounds reasonably standard from previous years to me, and yes, RIAT always seems to be a little pricier than elsewhere for some reason!

Half the price than silverstone so compared to there its a bargin. Im not sure how much the stalls pay to be there as well but they have to cover the cost of that and wages and all food and drink.

About the same price for a burger/cheeseburger as at the Air-Britain fly-in at White Waltham recently.

Extremely fair enough to be honest. COVID, having to pay their staff, plus their pitch, and ingredients etc, that's all factored into the cost.

They used to take card back in 2019 so I would assume so.

Yes all these costs have to be factored in, BUT , its the fact every business in the world has decided to charge the population for the fact they lost money they think they would have got(and to be fair probably would have)
what is the official term "Recovery mode" RIAT, Airlines, restaurants, hotels and every street vendor and shop are all at it, there is no need for any extra costs over and above normal price increases, I think its about 1.50/2.00£ extra on that burger

that said if I want food I will be paying for it , I just have an issue with the reasons why things are so expensive (sorry for taking this off topic)

No I get your point and that is fair enough. Think you're paying for the convenience of it too. But I expect it and therefore factor it into spending costs.

Did they do that between 2019 and today? I can't say I've ever been to RIAT and received food from "American caterers".
